PROGRAM FOCUS & OBJECTIVES
An ideal program for students who wish to climb the ladder of success from class VIII itself. National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is the most prestigious scholarship exam for school studying students. Since the last few years, students of class VIII can also appear in this exam and win scholarships for their entire academic career.
This program helps the student in understanding the basics of Science & Mathematics. Absolute clarity of concepts helps in increasing your IQ & reasoning ability and developing a strong foundation that is so essential for success in your career.
What is NTSE?
The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national level scholarship program in India to identify and nurture talented students. It honours and helps talented students by providing financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship for the entire academic career. The scheme’s official name is National Science Talent Search (NSTS), and is open to students of Indian nationality only. Students studying in Class VIII and Class X standard are eligible to appear for the selection process. As it is organized by an official body (NCERT), it is widely regarded as the most prestigious examination at high school level in India.
NTSE currently is conducted at two levels i.e. at (a) Class VIII and (b) Class X. Students of Class VIII and X are eligible to appear for the respective Class VIII and X Stage I examination conducted by the respective States/UTs in which the schools are located.
The NCERT has recently announced some changes in the scheme. “The next National Talent Search examination will be held at the end of Class VIII. However, the NCERT will conduct two more NTS examinations for the students reaching in class X for selection years 2007 and 2008.”
There is a two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage-I, selection will be done by States/UTs through the written examination. Each State/Union Territory has been allotted a quota to recommend a specific number of candidates for the Stage II examination, the details of which are available on NCERT website (http://www.ncert.nic.in/sites/nts/talent.htm). Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible to appear for Stage II examination conducted by NCERT.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Entire course will be covered in 3 phases.
Single comprehensive study material. Additional problems will be supplemented wherever necessary students should not require any additional books etc.
Work Books for Home Assignment.
Chapter Practice Problems (CPP): On each chapter students will be given chapter practice problems which they have to attempt and submit before the beginning of the next chapter. These solutions will be checked by the faculty and will be returned to the students with remarks and suggestions. Thus helping every student to have a very strong command over fundamental concept knowledge very crucial for getting Top ranks.
Class Learning Improvement Program (CLIP): Icing on the cake of every class will be done through Class Learning Improvement Program for those who have completed all assignments to further help them get a higher rank in NTSE.
Rank Potential Index (RPI) / Success Potential Index (SPI): We are the only institute in India having the capability to predict Rank Potential Index (RPI) / Success Potential Index (SPI) of a student. We constantly encourage our students to emulate their Rank Potential Index (RPI) / Success Potential Index (SPI).
Mock NTSE Test series across the country for all FIITJEE students.
Students also gain important exam practice through quizzes, phase tests, & mock tests (conducted in a simulated environment giving the students a ‘feel’ of the real exam) that can help them improve their examination temperament - a necessary element for success in any competitive exam.
